HPDE / Track Day at HPR
The enjoyment of Z ownership must include the occasional spirited driving experience. ZCON 2021 is planning on a variety of Motorsports activities to allow drivers of all experience levels to enjoy time on a real race track.
The High Plains Raceway is ~1.5 hour drive from the ZCON host hotel and we have reserved the facility for an HPDE Track Day event. HPDE, or High-Performance Driver Education, is an opportunity to work with experienced drivers and learn (safely) to drive on a race track. The day includes a variety of experience-level run-groups (Novice through Advanced) with emphasis on safety.
ZCON registrants will have an opportunity to sign up for the track and will be required to register on a third party application (MotorSportReg.com) so we can organize run-groups, communicate safety regulations and organize students with instructors.
HPR COVID-19 Information can be found here: https://www.highplainsraceway.com/covid-19/

Autocross Competition at PPIR
Solo, or Autocrossing is a track-based "mini" road course utilizing cones to depict the course's route. Generally, autocross is lower-speed than track days at a multi-mile track like PPIR, but it's much more tactical and competitors range from owners of regular street cars through race-prepped vehicles.
At ZCON, there will be multiples "classes" for you to compete against. Trophies will be awarded to lowest times in each class by generation (and a special trophies for the ladies)!
