The Autocross will be held at NHMS on Friday, August 9th. The event is being run by the Sports Car Club of New Hampshire (SCCNH) and they will handle timing, grid and the morning driver/safety briefing.
The course will be set up to offer a combination of technical and power skill requirements that won’t favor one type of vehicle over another. You’ll need to be sharp to get a low time run in and we promise a smile after each run.
For those who have never autocrossed before you might want to go to: www.autocross.com where you’ll find a great place to learn more about this sport and what you’ll need to be competitive.
Rental helmets will be available in various sizes and each will come with a disposable head sock.
The tech inspection sheet can be downloaded here: Coming Soon
Each person will be required to sign the NHMS entry liability form, the SCCNH liability form and be available to act as a corner worker (replacing knocked over cones) when the other Run group is on the course.
At this time we expect to have two Run Groups with one on course and the other working the course itself. Each Run Group will get three (3) runs per session and then switch roles. Depending on the number of entries we may expand to three Run groups and/or four (4) runs per session.
Current classification of cars: stock, modified and race. Those running slicks will have their time increased by 2% if other cars in your class are not running slicks. The lowest two times in each class will be awarded a trophy/plaque.
