World of Coke

An attraction dedicated to a sparkling drink? You bet, and it’s one of the most fun things to do in Atlanta, Ga. Try your hand at mixing up your own fizzy drink recipe, see how you look inside a container of bubbly cola, check out Coca-Cola advertisements throughout the years, pose for a photo with the beloved Coca-Cola Polar Bear. And, oh yes, enter the Vault of the Secret Formula.

Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium may be docked on dry land in downtown Atlanta, but dive inside and you’ll discover more than 10 million gallons of water, home to more animals than any other aquarium. The aquarium features a number of exhibits that are sure to reel you in such as Cold Water Quest, Ocean Voyager, River Scout, Aquanaut Adventure, Tropical Diver, and you won’t want to miss the dolphins exhibit and dolphin show. CNN Center

Get behind the scenes of Cable News Network (CNN), which is based right here in Atlanta, Ga. A 50-minute guided walking tour lets you peek into the newsroom, control room and much more. Be sure to keep your eyes wide open; there’s no telling who you might see while walking the halls.

Centennial Olympic Park

Centennial Olympic Park not only serves as a legacy of the 1996 Olympic Games, but is the center of a thriving tourist district with neighbors that include the College Football Hall of Fame, the Center for Civil & Human Rights, the World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center and Imagine It! The Children’s Museum. This downtown Atlanta park is an urban oasis offering an abundance of activities and things to do for visitors, families, convention attendees and locals.

Atlanta Zoo

It’s difficult to know where to begin describing Zoo Atlanta, which houses more than 1,000 animals, representing more than 200 species from around the world. But the giant pandas are as good a place as any, especially since panda twins Xi Lun and Ya Lun – the only twin pandas in the United States – were born at Zoo Atlanta September 3, 2016. And with the opening of the award-winning Scaly Slimy Spectacular: The Amphibian and Reptile experience, close encounters of the slithering kind are just a few steps away.

Stone Mountain

Spread across 3,200 beautiful acres, Stone Mountain Park is Georgia’s most-visited attraction – and with good reason. The fun never ends at Stone Mountain Park, where family activities reign during every season. Visit the park, built around the world’s largest piece of exposed granite (that’d be Stone Mountain), for Spring Fun Break, Memorial Day Weekend, the Fantastic Fourth Celebration, the Yellow Daisy Festival, Pumpkin Festival, Stone Mountain Christmas and Snow Mountain.

Atlantic Station

Located on Atlanta’s Westside, an eclectic assortment of more than 50 shops reside in Atlantic Station, featuring a walkable streetscape-style setting with brick paved streets and a Central Park. The compact setting features great boutiques, sidewalk cafes, hip restaurants and a boutique hotel, making it the perfect destination for visitors.

Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park is the premier green space and central gathering place of Atlanta with postcard views of the Midtown Atlanta skyline. The picturesque park features a walking/jogging paths, picnic facilities, playgrounds, tennis courts, public swimming pool, two ponds and dog park. Piedmont Park is home to many of Atlanta’s largest annual events including the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Gay Pride Festival, and Screen on the Green. Adjacent to Piedmont Park is the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Bring along a picnic or dine next to the park at Park Tavern and Willy’s Mexicana Grill. A number of pubs, cafes and restaurants can also be found within a very short walk along its bordering corridors of Piedmont Ave, 10th Street and Monroe Drive.

Ponce City Market

Nestled in Old Fourth Ward along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, Ponce City Market is one of Atlanta’s favorite markets. Spend a day shopping at the various stores, dining in the central food hall, and playing on the rooftop with a gorgeous view. Enjoy shopping events, cooking classes, music concerts, and more throughout the week and on weekends.
