Does the Kona Kai have trailer parking?
Yes, the hotel will have trailer parking available on the right side of the hotel in the public lot
Is parking available for non hotel guests?
Yes, the Kona Kai will make parking available in their public lot for $5. (limited street parking is free). Free parking is
also available across the street from the Kona kai
Does the Kona Kai offer shuttle service from the airport?
Yes, the Kona Kai has shuttle service available, as does the Consulate Hotel a free service for registered guests.
What's the weather?
August average hi 75f; low 67f. Almost never rains but can get a bit windy in the afternoon but generally calm in the
evenings. Bring a light jacket for the dinner cruise, or evenings along the seashore.
How far away is Qualcomm Stadium for the autocross and People's Choice car show?
13 miles, or about a 21 minute drive time. The San Diego trolley stops at the Kona Kai. It can take you all around San
Diego with unlimited stops if you buy the very reasonable day pass.
Humphrey's by the Bay is a short walk from the Kona Kai.
Check their website for concerts available during your stay, its an Intimate venue and a Sand Diego experience
Umi Sushi is a ½ mile scenic walk and highly recommended if you like Sushi!!
While you are here you need to try Rubio's fish tacos a San Diego experience.
I know you are saying fish tacos??? Just what I thought when I got here from New York. You won't be
disappointed… They have regular non fish eats too..
